# Security and account safety
- ReplyRep connects through Meta's official Instagram API using Meta's own login screen. It never asks for, sees or stores your Instagram password.
- It only messages people who commented, replied to a story, mentioned you or messaged you first, inside the windows Meta allows.
- Sending stays inside Meta's rate limits. On paid plans, anything over the limit waits in a queue rather than being forced through.
- You can disconnect ReplyRep at any time from the app or from Instagram's settings, which revokes its access.
