What makes Inrō users shop around?
Inrō is built only for Instagram and leans into sales: an AI agent that answers DMs and collects details, a CRM, campaigns and surveys. For a business that sells in the inbox, that is a strong package. The reasons people look elsewhere are mostly about billing and scope, not quality.
It is billed per activated contact. On Pro, as Inrō's pricing page puts it, you only pay each month for the contacts you have activated. That is fair when contact counts are steady. When a reel pulls in thousands of first-time commenters, each one is a newly activated contact, and the bill grows with it. As of October 2026, Pro starts at EUR 12.99 a month and auto-scales; annual Pro is a fixed EUR 1,249 a year for 10k+ active contacts.
Prices are shown in EUR. The page served EUR only, even to a US request, and no USD price was listed. Buyers who budget in dollars may simply prefer a tool that prices in dollars.
The free plan is narrow. It covers 100 activated contacts, 3 active automations, 3 campaigns a month and 50 AI Agent credits. That is enough to look around, but not to run a launch.
Some people need less. If the job is "comment GUIDE, get the PDF", an AI sales agent and CRM may be more than you will use. Others need more: Inrō is Instagram only, so anyone adding WhatsApp or Facebook has to look elsewhere.
What to check before you leave Inrō
- How it bills a spike. Per DM, flat with unlimited contacts, or per contact again. Only the first two change your viral-month maths.
- Whether you need the AI agent. If Inrō's AI was answering real questions, pick a tool with AI replies. If it mostly delivered links, keyword DMs will do the job.
- Email and lead capture. Inrō's agent collects email, phone or custom fields. Make sure your replacement can at least collect email and export it.
- Story replies and mentions. Inrō covers both on every plan; your replacement should too.
- Currency and billing period. Check whether the price you see is monthly or billed yearly up front.
- Official API access. The tool should connect through Meta's login, not ask for a password.
Six Inrō alternatives, ranked
1. ReplyRep
Why it is first: it solves the two most common complaints, contact-based billing and EUR pricing, without adding channels you do not need. ReplyRep charges a flat USD price for a number of DMs: 2,000 free, 10,000 for $10 on Lite, 40,000 for $25 on Boost, and 400,000 for $100 on MAX. A thousand new commenters costs the same as a thousand returning ones.
What carries over from Inrō: comment-to-DM on posts and reels, story replies and mentions, an email collector that exports to CSV or syncs to Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot or Google Sheets, and AI replies for questions no keyword covers. Flow Automation handles branching when one message is not enough.
What it will not do: there is no built-in CRM or campaign planner like Inrō's. It is Instagram only, the same as Inrō. Accounts are capped at 1 on Free and Lite, 3 on Boost and 5 on MAX. Branding stays on messages until Boost. Full detail on ReplyRep vs Inrō.
2. LinkDM
Why consider it: flat USD plans capped by DMs, not contacts. Free is 1,000 DMs on one account; Pro is $19 a month for 25,000 DMs on 3 accounts; Platinum+ is $99 for 300,000 DMs on 10 accounts. Story replies and mentions are on every plan, and email capture and ad comment replies come with Pro.
Trade-offs: no AI replies are listed on the pricing page, so Inrō's AI agent has no direct equivalent here. Free plan messages carry LinkDM branding. See LinkDM vs Inrō for the head-to-head.
3. Zorcha
Why consider it: unlimited contacts and DMs on every plan removes contact billing entirely, and it keeps an AI element: AI FAQs on all plans and a full AI Conversation with a knowledge base on Business. Pro is $14.99 a month billed monthly, Ultimate $39.99, Business $109.99, with cheaper quarterly and yearly rates.
Trade-offs: AI is metered in AI credits. The free plan takes 8% of digital product sales and leaves out the flow builder. Story reply automation is not stated on the pricing page.
4. Chatfuel
Why consider it: the closest match if you liked Inrō's AI agent but need more channels. Chatfuel offers unlimited active contacts and messages on flat plans, AI credits included, and covers Instagram alongside WhatsApp and Facebook. Business is US$18 a month billed yearly.
Trade-offs: no free plan, only a trial. Heavy AI use draws down the monthly credit allowance. Monthly-billed prices are not shown on the pricing page.
5. InstantDM
Why consider it: flat pricing with "no per-contact fees", AI comment replies from the free plan and an AI agent node on higher plans. Legend Pro is $9.99 a month billed yearly; Trendsetter is $24.99 billed yearly and adds follow-gate and ad comments. There is a 7-day trial with no card.
Trade-offs: prices are shown billed yearly. Legend Pro sends up to 800 DMs an hour and Trendsetter up to 2,000.
6. ManyChat
Why consider it: if you are leaving Inrō because you need Messenger or WhatsApp too, ManyChat is the established multi-channel builder. Trade-offs: it is also billed per active contact, so it does not fix a spiky bill. Plans run from $14 for 250 contacts to $139 for 25,000, with overage on top (per manychat.com/pricing, checked 19 October 2026). See ManyChat vs Inrō.

Which Inrō alternative fits which kind of account?
- You mostly deliver links and freebies: ReplyRep or LinkDM. Both bill per DM in USD, so a viral month costs what the plan costs.
- You want AI to keep answering questions: ReplyRep's AI replies, Zorcha's AI FAQ, or Chatfuel's AI agent, in rising order of how much the AI does.
- You are adding WhatsApp or Facebook: Chatfuel for flat pricing with unlimited contacts, ManyChat if you prefer its builder.
- You run several client accounts on a tight budget: InstantDM's Multi plans, priced per account.
If your Inrō setup was mostly keyword triggers that hand over a resource, the replacement can be a single message. Here is what one looks like in ReplyRep, with the email step that replaces the AI agent's lead capture:

How to move from Inrō without sending anyone two DMs
- 1
Export first
Download your Inrō CRM contacts and any emails or fields your AI agent collected. Your new tool starts with an empty contact list.
- 2
Separate keyword automations from AI conversations
Keyword-to-link automations move across directly. Write down the questions your AI agent handled most so you can brief the new tool's AI replies.
- 3
Pause Inrō on one post, then rebuild it
Switch off the Inrō trigger for that post, then recreate it in the new tool. In ReplyRep that is about four minutes, following the comment-to-DM setup guide.
- 4
Handle story triggers
Story replies and story mentions fire account-wide. Turn Inrō's off before you turn the new ones on, or someone replying to a story could hear from both.
- 5
Test, then work through the rest
Comment from a second account, confirm one DM arrives, then move the remaining posts over a few days and cancel Inrō at the end of the billing period.
Is staying on Inrō the better call?
If your Instagram inbox is a sales desk, and the AI agent, CRM and campaigns are doing real work, Inrō is built for exactly that and the switch may cost more in lost workflow than it saves. If your contact count is steady month to month, per-contact billing will not surprise you. Switch when the bill follows your reach, when you want to pay in dollars, or when keyword-to-link is all you really use. Our Instagram DM sales funnel guide shows how far a simpler setup can go.
