What is an Instagram auto DM?
An auto DM is a message you write once and Instagram delivers many times, each time someone does the thing you asked for. The trigger is always an interaction with you: a comment, a story reply, a mention, an ad comment or a message in your inbox. The DM is your copy, with their first name filled in, and usually a link.
What an auto DM is not: a bulk message to a list of people who never contacted you. On the official API, automation answers people who interacted first.
