How does a DM funnel work?

A post, reel or story asks people to comment a keyword or reply.

An automated DM sends what they asked for: a guide, a price, a code.
- 3
Capture
The DM asks for an email or a follow, so you can reach them again.
- 4
Qualify
A question or button sorts people by what they need.
- 5
Convert
The right offer, booking link or product goes to each group.
What does a DM funnel look like?
A fitness coach posts a reel: "comment PLAN for my free 4-week plan". The DM sends the plan and asks: "Training at home or in a gym?" Home trainers get the home program; gym trainers get a link to book a free call. Each reply keeps the conversation going and points the person somewhere useful.
What Meta rules shape a DM funnel?
A comment allows one private reply. Further messages are allowed only after the person responds, within 24 hours of that response. So every stage after the first DM depends on them replying or tapping. Design the first DM to earn that reply, and don't plan a drip sequence that sends messages days apart without a response.
How does ReplyRep build DM funnels?
Keyword triggers start the funnel on every plan. On Lite and up, Email Collector captures addresses, Follow Up sends a second message to people who went quiet, and Suggest More nudges toward the next product or guide. Flow Automation branches on their answers. Read the Instagram DM sales funnel guide and the email list growth use case.
