Three ways Instagram DM tools bill
| Billing model | What you pay for | What a viral month does | Tools |
|---|---|---|---|
| Per DM | Messages sent, in plan-sized blocks | Nothing until you run out of DMs, then the next plan up | ReplyRep, LinkDM, CreatorFlow, ReplyRush |
| Per contact | Each person you interact with in a month | Every new commenter adds to the bill, with overage | ManyChat, Inro |
| Flat | A fixed plan price, limits set by features or credits | Nothing, within the plan's other limits | Zorcha, Chatfuel, Spur |
How the calculator works
- Total DMs = people who comment × DMs each person gets. Per-DM tools are priced on that total; per-contact tools on the number of people.
- ReplyRep: the cheapest plan whose allowance covers the total. Plans run from 2,000 DMs free to 400,000 a month.
- ManyChat: the cheapest tier for that many active contacts, overage included.
- Flat-priced tools show their entry paid plan. Check that plan's other limits (AI credits, flows, accounts) on the comparison page.
- Prices were read from each vendor's pricing page on 19 October 2026. Some vendors localise prices by country or only show yearly prices; the table says which.
Price is one input, not the answer
A tool that also runs WhatsApp and Messenger can be worth more than its price difference if you use those channels. If Instagram is the whole job, pay for Instagram. Every comparison says plainly when the other tool is the better pick, and the best Instagram DM automation tools guide ranks them by use case.
