How ManyChat pricing works
ManyChat charges for active contacts: each person your account interacts with in a month counts once, however many messages they get. The free plan covers 25 active contacts. Paid tiers, per manychat.com/pricing as checked 19 October 2026, are:
| Tier | Monthly price | Active contacts included | Each extra contact |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | $14 | 250 | $0.1 |
| Pro | $29 | 2,500 | $0.05 |
| Business | $69 | 7,500 | $0.025 |
| Advanced | $139 | 25,000 | $0.004 |
So a month with 5,000 commenters costs $14 plus overage on Essential, $29 plus 2,500 extra contacts on Pro, or $69 on Business. The calculator tries every tier, adds the overage, and shows the cheapest. Advanced only wins at very high volumes.
Why a viral month changes the bill
A reel that brings in thousands of new commenters adds thousands of new active contacts. On a per-contact plan that is extra cost in the month you least expect it. On a per-DM plan the price stays the same until you run out of DMs, and the next plan up is a fixed step.
What the comparison assumes
- Every commenter gets at least one DM, and each extra DM (a follow up, an email step) counts against the ReplyRep allowance, not against ManyChat's contact count.
- ReplyRep's figure is the cheapest plan whose monthly DM allowance covers the total: Free 2,000, Lite 10,000, Boost 40,000, MAX 400,000.
- Prices are list prices in US dollars before tax. ManyChat says its prices vary by billing country, so check yours on its pricing page.
